Revisions & Approvals

We work collaboratively and include revision rounds as outlined in your service agreement. Additional revisions or requests outside the original project scope may incur extra charges.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide timely feedback, content (such as logos, photos, or text), and any necessary access required to complete the project. Delays in communication or content delivery may extend project timelines.

Payments

Payment terms are detailed in each project’s invoice or contract. Deposits are typically required before work begins, with remaining balances due prior to website launch or project finalization. Failure to submit payment may result in project delays or suspension of services.

Ownership & Intellectual Property

Upon final payment, you own the completed design, content, or website deliverables created for you. Ocean Edge Media retains ownership of all preliminary concepts, design drafts, and proprietary tools or code. We may feature completed projects in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

5. Website Hosting & Maintenance

If Ocean Edge Media provides website hosting or maintenance services:

  • We make every effort to ensure reliability and uptime, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted site access.

  • Clients are responsible for maintaining accurate login information and backups unless a maintenance plan includes these services.

  • We are not liable for third-party hosting failures or technical issues beyond our control.

6. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

7. Cancellations & Refund Policy

Project Cancellations

If you choose to cancel a project after work has begun:

  • The initial deposit is non-refundable.

  • You may be responsible for payment of any completed work or expenses incurred up to the cancellation date.

If Ocean Edge Media must cancel a project for unforeseen reasons, any payments for uncompleted work will be refunded, minus completed deliverables already provided.

Ongoing Services

For monthly services (like social media management), cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 30 days before the next billing cycle.

8. Third-Party Tools and Integrations

Some services may involve third-party software (e.g., wix, Google Analytics, Facebook, WordPress, Shopify). While we take care to work with reliable providers, Ocean Edge Media cannot be held responsible for outages, updates, or issues that arise from third-party platforms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Ocean Edge Media is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our website, services, or deliverables.

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project or service in question.

You agree to hold Ocean Edge Media harmless from any claims related to third-party software, web hosting downtime, data loss, or business interruption.

10. Revisions to Policies

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Revisions will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. By continuing to use our services after any changes, you accept the revised Terms.

11. Termination

Either party may end the service relationship at any time with written notice. Clients remain responsible for any outstanding balances on approved invoices.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada, and applicable Canadian federal legislation. Any disputes will be handled within the province of Nova Scotia.
